Katy believed in the “little people”, leprechauns, and told the younger children stories about them. She never married.

Katherine received a certificate from the war Department, Office of the Chief Ordnance in Wash-ington. It says she “faithfully served the government of the United States in the Ordnance Department during the World War from 28 May 1918 to 19 February 1919.”
