    Funeral service was held Sunday, February 1, 1981, for Bethel A. Frakes at the Church of Christ in Steele. Mr. William Imrisek officiated.

    Mrs. Frakes was born in Steele December 12, 1910, the daughter of the late Robert Frakes and Virginia Still Frakes. She died January 30, 1981 at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. Bethel was a restaurant operator in Steele for many years.

    She leaves one daughter, Mrs. O'Nita Ledford of Steele; two granddaughters, Mrs. Rebecca Coleman of Mermphis, Tenn, and Miss Debbie Ledford of Little Rock, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Stacy and Christopher Coleman of Memphis; two brothers, R. C. Frakes of Caruthersville and Glen Frakes of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Marilyn Nunnery of Caruthersville; three nephews, Dale Nunnery of Columbia, Mo., Steve Nunnery of Caruthersville, and John Nunnery of Caruthersville.

    Pallbearers were Gene Wingfield, Kelly Joe Rhodes, Billy Smith, Paul Cooper, Roy Barnes, and F. M. Miller.

    Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
