Facts and Events
Bertha Eliza Aldridge was baptised on 26th November 1882 at Graveley in Hertfordshire, daughter of Betsy Aldridge, formerly Moles, and her husband Alfred Aldridge, an agricultural labourer. She appears in the 1891 and 1901 censuses living with her parents and siblings living at Graveley.
Bertha's father died in 1906, when Bertha was about 23 years old. The 1911 census finds Bertha and her widowed mother living with Bertha's sister Kate and her family at Greenwich in London. Bertha's brother in law ran a grocery, and Bertha assisted in the shop. Bertha has yet to be researched after 1911.
