In LDS batch # M512971, source # 0461073 IT 12 microfilm of Putnam County, Ohio Marriages 1834-1877 copied by Ruth Pierce 1959 for Ft. Industry Chapter DAR shows marriage of Barbara Thrap to Newton B. Thrap at Putnam Co., OH 31 Jan 1839.

An LDS report in IGI varies her birth and death dates by only a few days, but I could not get specifics on the reporter or the documentation. Noticing that her maiden name of Chambers is not used in this marriage further reasons that she was indeed married to a Thrap prior to this Thrap marriage. Some records suggest that first husband was Theodore Asbury Thrap and that marriage was in Muskingum County, OH on 5 Oct 1836. Muskingum Co., OH was formed in 1804 from Fairfield and Washington Counties. Ohio became a state in 1803. New county court house was in Zanesville. At FHL (LDS www.familysearch.org) microfilm # 0865-138-0865139 is Ancestry.com Ohio Marriages 1803-1900 showing 3 Thrap and 7 Thrapp data. Martha A. Thrap and Rolwand R. Hoopman 15 Apr.1854; James E. Thrap and Mary Ann Blain 16 Nov 1852; John Thrap and Maria Lewiza Dolman 24 Oct 1852. Saved here for space from Theodore Asbury Thrap notes.
