1900 census indicates 7 births, 6 living children. Also indicates she is alive, I have death in 1894 I Have paper copy enlarged of census Obit Grant County Herald To Her Rest Mrs. Elling Nielson of Stony Brook Dies at a Ripe Old Age.- More than eleven years past the alloted three .score and ten, be-loved and respected by all who knew her, Mrs. Elling Nielson died at her home in Stony Brook on Saturday, July 9th. Deceased was one of Grant county's old settlers, coming here in 1877. Her husband died August 13th, last year. For twenty-seven years she made her home in Stony Brook township, and always enjoyed the respect and esteem of her neighbors and acquaintances. She was a woman of strong character, and a devout member of the Synod Lutheran church. Deceased was born in Norway and came to America in 1868, settling in Spring Grove, Houston county, this state. She was 81 years, 3 months,and 15 days old, and leaves six children, all well known citizens of the county, viz: Mrs. A. E. Dybdal, Mrs. C. C. Grinder, Mrs. Peter Erickson, Nels Ellingson, Hans Ellingson and Ellen Ellingson. The funeral was held on Monday, services being conducted by liev. Juul both at the house and the church in Elbow Lake township. The remains were interred beside those of her husband in the church cemetery. Peace unto her.
