HANS ELLINGSON
He came in 1877 in company with his father, Elling Nielson. Mr. Ellingson was single, but soon married Miss lena Gilbertson, and to them were born the following children; Mary, Hilda, Nelly and Leonard. Mr. Ellingson made many improvements on his homestead ; planted a fine grove, erected substantial buildings and otherwise, until he had a very valuable farm, situated as it was, close to the lively village of Wendell. Mr. Ellingson was a hard worker while on his farm, and he had a splendid wife to assist him in his struggle to found a home. Mr. Ellingson and wife have taken prominent part in temperance work, and in the public affairs of the community in which they live. Mr. Ellingson has served as constable and in other capacities. Recently he sold his fine farm and moved into Wendell, where he owns a fine house and lot.
