Ann Mason was baptised on 30th December 1775 at Exton in Rutland, daughter of Ann Mason, formerly Webster, and her husband Joseph Mason.

Ann was married at Exton on 18th May 1797, aged 21, to Thomas Cunnington, who worked as an under keeper, presumably working on the Exton Hall estate. They went on to have eight children baptised at Exton between 1797 and 1814.

Ann's mother died late in 1813 and her father died three months later early in 1814.

Thomas died in 1816. He was said to be 56 years old. Ann survived him by nearly fifteen years. She was buried at Exton on 20th January 1831, aged 55.
