Catherine Mason was baptised on Christmas Day 1777 at Exton in Rutland, daughter of Ann Mason, formerly Webster, and her husband Joseph Mason.

Catherine's mother died in 1813, and her father died three months later, early in 1814.

Catherine never married. She lived to be 55 years old and was buried at Exton on 3rd February 1833.
