Andrew Coombs Conklin, son of Amos and Abigail (Coombs) Conklin was born on 9 April 1846 in Cincinnati, Ohio. On 4 September 1875 he married Elizabeth Miller in Cincinnati. Elizabeth was the daughter of English immigrants, Charles and Hannah Jane (Dodsworth) Miller. She was born on 14 April 1850 in Green Township (Hamilton County), Ohio and died of heart disease on 22 June 1893 in Cincinnati. In 1870 Andrew was working as a bank clerk, but by 1880 was a broker. In 1888-9 he was a member of the Governing Committee of the Cincinnati Stock Exchange which had been formed a few years earlier. The 1892 Cincinnati voter list shows Andrew living on Knorr Street. Andrew died of consumption on 2 April 1895. His funeral took place at home of his father-in-law, Charles Miller After the death of Andrew and Elizabeth, their children lived with their Miller grandparents. Elizabeth and Andrew are buried at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.
