He married 1st about 1735 to Marie-Madeleine BOURG (no parents given); nine children listed. In 1752 He and 1st wife and six children were residents of La Pointe-a-la Jeunesse on Isle Royale. Marie-Madeleine died at sea during the crossing to France in 1758/1759 [sic]. On 23 Jan 1759 Ambroise, Marie-Madeleine BOURG his first wife [!] and their five children disembarked at St. Malo from one of the "Five ships." They resided at Pleslin from 1759-1772. Ambroise married 2nd on 15 Mar 1764 at Plouer, Cotes-du-Nord, France to Helene AUCOIN (widow of Claude TRAHAN), daughter of Pierre & Catherine COMMAUX.
