The children of Alexander Scott were listed in the will of his son James Scott, who died bef. 22 March 1753:
- Page 485.——27th October, 1751. James Scot’s will. Of South Branch of Potomac. Sister, Sarah Scot. Two mares bought of Even Hughes. Sister, Phebe Scot; sister, Rachel Scot. Three cousins (nephews?), James, Joseph, and Jacob Scot (sons of Bro. John?). Two brothers, Adonijah Scot and David Scot. Brother, Benjamin Scot. Two brothers are infants. Teste: Joel Hornback, John Frazier. Codicil, horses left to Bro. John Scot’s children to be taken by Benj. Scot until they are of age. Proved, 22d March, 1753, by John Frazier and Ridle Hyer, and Benj. Scot qualifies administrator with sureties Henry Lancisco, Peter Mauzie.
