Overview

Alexander Huston is believed to have been the son of Person:Alexander Huston (2) and Elizabeth Hassell. During the Revolution Alexander was a member of Howell's company attached to various Pennsylvania Infantry battalions. He was captured at the Battle of Long Island, but repatriated. He rejoined his regiment in December of 1776, and promoted from ensign to Lieutenant. He was killed at the Battle of Brandywine 11 September 1777.

Based on the child record for his parents, he was probably born no earlier than 1750. We can guess that he was probably about 25 years of age when killed. There is no evidence that Alexander married.
