    This 16: of the 9th mo 1676. I Abram Jaquith of the Towne of Oburne in the Coun of Midd. in New Engld. being weake in body, but perfect in memory, and understanding, do make this my last will & testamt. I do bequeath to my beloved wife Hannah, all my houseing & y3 orchard
    during her life, & two Cows, & their maintenance, winter & sumer, during her life, and Twenty bushels of corne to be yearly pd to her during her life in kind as followeth. Ten bush. of Indian 3. of Ry, 2. of wheate, five of barly, Also I do bequesth to my sonne Abram, all my housing, & houselott, at my wifes decease, but thirty acers of land lying in a lott called Cutlars lott, I give to my sonne Abram in prsent possession to by layd out to him on the north side of the lott from end to end, and besides this also I give to Sonne Abram, halfe of all my meadow lands, also halfe of all my other lands and wood lands with the priviledges. Also I give to my sonne Jno and to my Daughter Lidea, the other halfe of Cutlers lott, wch is thirty acres and the other halfe of my meadow land to be equally divided between them, Excepting one eight pt of the woodland, wch I give to my daughter Sarah. Also I give to my daughter Deborah Six pounds, to be payd to her at my wifes decease, and my will is that my sonne Abram, my sonne Jno and my daughte Lidea, the possessors of ye Arrable lands, shall pay to my wife the Twenty bushels of corne yearly, and also find her with firewood yearly, during her life as above specifyed.     Children of Abraham Jaquith and Ann Jordan:

    i Abraham born at Charlestown, Massachusetts, 19 December 1644 and died 14 April 1679, aged thirtyfive, of wounds received in 1676 as a soldier under Captain Wheeler in King Philip's War. He married at Woburn, 13 March 1671 Mary2 Adford, daughter of Henry 1 and Thomazin or Tomson or Tamasin (Munson or Manson) Adford of Scituate, Massachusetts

    ii Mary b at Charlestown 3 Nov. 1646; was not living when her father died.

    iii. John, b. at Woburn; living in 1709 when his care was mentioned in the will of his brother-in-law James Snow

    iv. Lydia, b. at Woburn; m. there, 10 Jan. 1678 David2 Fox, b. ca. 1656, son of Thomas 1, b. 1619, d. 1658, and his second wife, Hannah (Brooks) Fox, d. ca. 1690. Thomas Fox was a member of the Concord church and lived near the "Great Swamp" north of the church, on the road to Billerica. In 1644 he was a freeman at Concord. After the death of Thomas, his wife Hannah and their young sons Thomas, Samuel, and John moved to New London, Conn., where she became the third wife of Andrew Lester and had three sons by him. David was a soldier in the Phipps Expedition to Quebec and probably never went to New London (George Henry Fox, Descendants of Eliphalet Fox, -1644, of Concord, Mass., First Son of Thomas Fox, Five Generations [New York, 1931]).

    v. Sarah born at Woburn, Massachusetts. She married James2 Snow, son of Richard 1 and Avis Snow of Woburn. He resided at Woburn but later removed to Lancaster, Massachusetts, where he was living at the time of his death in 1709. His will, dated 28 January 1709 and probated 8 July 1709, mentioned his wife Sarah, sons James and Hezekiah, and daughters Mary Snow, Abigail Lakin, Lydia Butler, and Sarah Stow. He requested that his sons James and Hezekiah care for his brother-in-law John Jaquith (Middlesex Probate, file 20816, first series).

    vi. Deborah, born at Woburn, Massachusetts, in 1654 or later and died at Billerica, Massachusetts, 24 February 1703/4. She married at Billerica, 6 December 1681 John2 Chamberlain, who was born at Billerica, ca. 1654 and died there, 1 April 1712, son of William 1 and Rebecca Chamberlain

    Note: Know all men by these presents, that I, Alice Barnard, the wife of MrWilliam Barnard, of Chrltowne, do acknowledg that I have sould, and amfully payed therefore, unto Abraham Jaquith, one house, scituate withoutthe Neck, which once pertained to Ezekiell Richeson, with a parcell ofland lying within and between the upper corner post of the house, andrunning with a straight line to the Garden of the aforesayd AbrahamJaquith, which house, land and all the Apurtenances thertoo pertaining,I Alice Barnard, with the consent and in the behalfe of my husband, MrWilliam Barnard, doe hereby Resigne all me Right, titles and Interests,and my husband's, or any from us, unto the sayd Abraham Jaquith, to behis and his heirs for ever.
    As apeareth by me hand set to the paper of the sale, in the presence ofMr Increase Nowel, the 17th of the 10th moneth, 1649.
