    1 JAMES2 SNOW (Richard1), born say 1643; died probably in Lancaster, Mass., between 28 January 1708/9 and 8 July 1709, the writing and proving of his will married there about 1670 SARAH2 JAQUITH, born in the 1640s, living 1708/9 when she is named in her husband's will, daughter of ABRAHAM1 and ANN (JORDAN) JAQUITH. Sarah received one eight part of her father's woodland in Woburn. James was also provided for in the will of his father, who bequeathed him three parcels of land and rights in timber ownership in Woburn. James died in his sixties less than a year after he wrote his will, suffering from "frailty and Infirmity."

James named in will {Item I Give unto my eldest Son Namely James Snow one halfe of ye Rest of my Reall Estate after my sd wives Dower is Sett out to her (that is to Say) my Will is that my sd Son James Shall have ye New House where he now Dwelleth & that field next to his House In part of his Share & one halfe of ye barne & orcharding Pasture & Mowing ground So that his part in ye Lands may be equall to his other Brother for quantitie & quallitie: to Hezekiah my youngest Son I Give ye old Dwelling House where I Now Live & ye other halfe of my Barne orchard Pasture tillage & Mowing Land equall with his brother James [blot] help Hezekiah to Repaire ye old House So as to Make it Comfortable & Sutable to Live in Reserving to theire said Mother her Dower in ye Housing & well as in ye orcharding and all other my Lands & when my Said Wife Shall Decease then the said Dower to be equally Divided bet[w]eene my two Sons above Named as the other Part of ye Reall Estate the whole to be Divided so as may be most Convenient to both}

    Children of Abraham Jaquith and Ann Jordan:

    v. Sarah born at Woburn, Massachusetts. She married James2 Snow, son of Richard 1 and Avis Snow of Woburn. He resided at Woburn but later removed to Lancaster, Massachusetts, where he was living at the time of his death in 1709. His will, dated 28 January 1709 and probated 8 July 1709, mentioned his wife Sarah, sons James and Hezekiah, and daughters Mary Snow, Abigail Lakin, Lydia Butler, and Sarah Stow. He requested that his sons James and Hezekiah care for his brother-in-law John Jaquith (Middlesex Probate, file 20816, first series).

    The author treats each child of James Snow and Sarah Jaquith for at least two generations.
