DEED OF JOSEPH WALKER

Know all Men by these prsents that I Joseph Walker of the County of Cumberland and Township of Newtown for and in Consideration of the sum of twenty nine pounds eight shillings and six pence to me in hand payd at & before the sealing and delivery of these presents by James Jack & Maryann Thompson both of the County & Township aforesd and the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have Bargained & Sold and the the presents do Bargain and Sell unto the said James Jack & Maryan Thompson the improvemant and all the land I now claim & possess Bounded by Canndowinit (?) Creek and by the land of Andrew Walker, Thomas H/Mayson and William Walker and a Servant Man of Ten years of age by name Henry Burns one white horse of ten years old and Gray Mare of six years old a Red Cow four Years old one brown heifer of three years and one heifer of Red Couler of two years and one Ditto of one year old and three sheep and all kinds of farmer M????? & household Stuff (?) now in my possession to have and to hold all & singular the land Servant Chattles & and good of every kind before mentioned and every part therof by these presents bargained & sold unto the said James Jack his part Namely Sixteen pounds at this present as Appears by Refferrring to a bond bearing date in May 1763 and a Note bearing date in the year 1767 and money being the Rent property of John & Alexander Walker, miners and heirs of the Estate of Alexander Walker Deceased and to the aforesaid Maryan Thompson her part being thirteen pounds eight and sixpence the whole lawfull money of Pennsylvania unto their heirs and assign administrators and executors for ever and the said Joseph Walker for my self my executors and administrators all and singular the said premisses goods and chattles unto the said James Jack and Maryan Thompson or their executors administrators and assignes against me the said Joseph Walker my Executors Administrators and Assigns and against all and every person and persons whatsoever shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents of which goods the sd Joseph Walker have put the said James Jack and Maryan Thompson in full possession by Delivering them one gray horse before mentioned in the name of all the rest at the sealing hereof and in witness hereof Ihave hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fourth of December in the year one thousand seven hundred & sixty Seven [1767] Singed Sealed and Delivered in presence of William Walker John Bowman Joseph Walker (Seal)

Cumberland County Before me John M.??????one of his Majestyes Justices for said County came Joseph Walker & Acknowledged the above Bill of Sale to be his Act & Deed and allowed the same to be recorded as such in the office for Recording of Deeds in said County Given under my hand
