[edit] Related[edit] DiscussionThere are two Joshua Walkers in Hawkins County TN, around 1830-1840: Joshua (2) and Joshua (6) A Joshua Walker appears in the 1830 Hawkins Count Tn census age 50-59, implying a DOB between 1771 and 1780. This Joshua Walker is believed to be Joshua (2). A Joshua Walker does not appear in the 1840 census of Hawkins County. This may mean
The following table summarizes the Joshua Walkers recorded in the 1840 census through out the United States Enumeration area. There are a number of plausible locations where Joshua Walker of Hawkins Count might have gone, assuming that he left the Hawksins County area. These include, Albama, Arkansas, Illiniois, Indiana, Missouri, and Virginia. It is conceivable that he might have moved to one of the other states included in this inventory (Maine, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania) but relocation to those areas seems unlikely giving prevailing migration paths from Tennessee. Joshua Walker of Wales, Kennebec, Maine is only one appropriately aged Joshua Walker in this list, who could be the same as Joshua Walker of Hawkins County born between 1771 and 1780. It is highly unlikely that Joshua (2) would have immigrated to Maine from TN. From this we conclude that Joshua (2) probably died by the time of the 1840 census, or is not captured in the 1840 census. [edit] Data
