Source:Edwards and Frizell, 1978:85 give the pace of marriage as Scott County, then Russell Co. VA. in 1810. This is presumably because her parents, James Culbertson = Mary Kilgore (Daughter of Charles Kilgore, neighbor of Williams father, Meadow Creek John Walker (193), were living in SW VA. This bespeaks of a continuing connection between the family of MCJW and Southwest Virginia, though in this particular case, that connection is probably mediated by the connection to Charles Kilgore.
