[edit] ImmigrationOn April 30, 1634, "Robert Goodall", age 30, and "Kathern, his wife", age 28 took an oath as passengers enrolled at Ipswich for passage to New England on the Elizabeth. His children "Mary Goodale," age 4, "Abraham Goodale," age 2, and "Isaacke Goodale," aged "half a year" were also enrolled as passengers. [edit] Catherine's nameIn her will of 1 Mar 1601/2, Elizabeth Goodale of Dennington, Suffolk named her son Robert, and "Henry Kilham and Alice his wife, my daughter". This couple were the parents of Austin Killam, who came to Salem in 1637. George E. Williams claimed in his Goodale genealogy that Robert's first wife was Catherine Kilham, but this bequest and the fact that one of Robert's daughters married a son of Austin Kilham are the only documented Kilham connections. Great Migration states there is "no evidence" for the identification of Catherine as a Kilham, but there may be some relationship. This record is also apparently the evidence for Robert's birthplace.
