[edit] Related[edit] TextThese are to certify to all persons whatsoever that John Walker of the county of Kent, in the territories of the Province of Pennsylvania, single man, and Mary Paynter of the county of Sussex, in the territory aforesaid, single woman, after due publication according to the laws of this government did on the 18th day of the eighth month, called October, in the year of our Lord, according to the English account, 1685, in the house of John Kipshaven of Lewes, in the county of Sussex, take each other as husband and wife by the said John expressing that he takes the said Mary to be his wife, and the said Mary expressing that she takes the said John to be her husband. In testimony whereof we, the said John and Mary, have hereunto set our hands in the presence of the witnesses hereunto subscribed. John Walker. Mary Walker.
