This Ordnance Survey map of 1900 from A Vision of Britain through Time locates all the original rural districts established in Wiltshire in 1894. In 1934 there were a number of mergers of neighbouring districts.
Warminster Rural District was in the west central part of the county, on the border with Somerset. It was north of Mere Rural District and Tisbury Rural District, and south of Westbury and Whorwellsdown Rural District and Devizes Rural District. Warminster Rural District existed from 1894 until 1934 when it became part of the Warminster and Westbury Rural District.
