William Plummer was baptised on 16th July 1742 at Stotfold in Bedfordshire, son of John and Ann Plummer. On 23rd October 1766, aged 24, William married a Mary Smith at Stotfold. The marriage was to be tragically short: William died about six weeks after his marriage, being buried at Stotfold on 8th December 1766. Mary outlived him by just over a year before she too died as a young adult in 1768.
