Marriage to John Plummer
Burial[1] 4 May 1773 Stotfold, Bedfordshire, England

Ann’s maiden name and origins have yet to be established. Her first confirmed sighting is in 1742, by which time she was already married to a labourer called John Plummer and living at Stotfold in Bedfordshire.

Ann and John had nine children baptised at Stotfold between 1742 and 1763, although one daughter died when only one year old in 1762.

John’s father had leased a farm at Stotfold, which passed to John when his father died in 1755. The farm was quite substantial, including two houses, land, a dovecote, meadows and cow commons. It was also expensive, with a rent of £80 plus “three dozen good young pigeons” per year. John did not renew the lease when it expired in 1764.

Ann’s only son William died as a young man of 24 in 1766, just six weeks after he had married.

Ann died in 1773, being buried at Stotfold on 4th May. John survived her by 22 years.
