Martin, William - entered service 1776 in Albemarle County, Virginia; granted Pension abt. age 62 in Clark County, Kentucky, 1818; resided there in 1832 when had wife abt. age 75 & single daughter abt. age 35-40; occupation farmer; brother Austin living in 1818; query letter in file states soldier was son of Revolutionary War soldier James (born abt. 1743, moved to Kentucky in 1780, where he died 1799, married Sarah Harris, 1746-1804), further soldier William [Martin] married Winifred Gentry, Albemarle County, Virginnia, also soldier's brother Tyre married Mourning Jones there (born born there), they resided in St. Louis, Missouri, later Boone County, Missouri, also soldier was brother of Azariah. f-S36070, R1463.
