Obituary

W.J. CORL

Another of Riverside's respected pioneers answered the last call when W. J. Corl died at the home of his son at Pomona Thursday at the age of 76 years and eight months. Funeral services were held this afternoon at Pomona t 2:30.
Mr. Corl came with his family to this city 33 years ago. He engaged in the grocery business on East Eighth street, and for 18 years conducted the store now being operated by S. W. Ekins. Mr. and Mrs. Corl moved to Long Beach about 15 years ago and later moved to Pomona.
Mrs. Corl died about a year ago at the age of 76 years and 4 months, and since that time Mr. Corl has resided with his son, Lester C. Corl, and family. Mr. Corl will be remembered by the older residents of Riverside as a man of sterling integrity, a good neighbor, and a splendid citizen. He had many friends in this city who will grieve with the family that he has gone.
Four children survive, two of whom, Mrs. W. H. Bass and P. S. Corl, have lived in Riverside continuously since the parents came here, 33 years ago. Chancey B . Corl is a resident of Los Angeles and Lester C. Corl lives in Pomona.
