Fredonia Censor, 9 January 1924. Obituary or Mrs. Weltha HOWARD. 'Weltha Underwood HOWARD was born at Oswego, N.Y., Dec. 25, 1834 and died Dec 16, 1923 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas Sager in Stockton. She was united in marriage to subbinus HOWARD January 18, 1854. Mr. HOWARD died in 1895. The family lived for many years on Walnut Creek Road near the Abbey Arkwright district No. 4, moving to Stockton about eighteen years ago. The funeral was held in the school house, Arkwright district No. 4 on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 12 o'clock. burial in the Abbeyville cemetery. Rev. W. K. Young paid a most beautiful tribute to the life of the deceased, using Proverbs 31:10, 31 as his lesson ... Grandma HOWARD as every one knew her, was a jewel worth while for memorys casket. She was ever found doing for others. She was a sincere Christian from early life, being a steadfast, consistent member of the Methodist church. ... She leaves to mourn her loss five children, Frank and Clarence HOWARD of Stockton, Elgin P. HOWARD of Corryville, Pa [Pennsylvania], Mrs. Ernest Tickner of Cherry Creek and Mrs. Chas. SAGER of Stockton...'
