According to the Shankland Family Research by Albert Shankland, Walker married first 'Artemisia Utterbach' and had one child, then married (--?--) Blount and had one child.

 However, other research indicates that he married Mary Blount first. The Mary Utterback he married may have been the widow of his brother-in-law, Dr. William K. Blount.

 According to Descendants of William Shankland', Walker and (?) Blount had a daughter Beulah, and Walker and Artemesia had son Morris. There is a Beulah Shankland, age 20, listed in the 1900 census for Montgomery Co., Kentucky.
  'W.C. Shankland' married Mary Lucinda Blount, b. 1858 in Nicholas Co., Kentucky, daughter of John R. Blount and Louisa Irvine. According to 'Irvin/Moyer Genealogy', W.  According to an IGI record, Walker C. Shankland married Mary A. Utterback in 1890 and he died in 1893.
 Probably the 'W. C. Shankland' in Steuben, Warren Co., Indiana in the 1880 census, (near his half-brother Kendall T.)  W. C. is 22, born Kentucky, a farmer, with wife Mary L., age 21. {p.48A}  Walker's sister Mary is living with Kendall, probably keeping house as Mariah (Parrish) Shankland had died.
