Probably the Mary Shankland living with her half-brother Kendall Thompson Shankland in Steuben, Warren Co., Indiana in 1880. She is 27, born Kentucky, (father Delaware, mother Kentucky) and is keeping house for her widowed brother. {p.49a} "Married--Byers--Shanklin: On Tuesday December 21st, 1880 at West Lebanon, Ind. by Rev.
