Obituary VIRGIL HENDERSON Virgil Henderson, age 65, lived at 11308 E. Park, Sugar Creek, Mo. He died Monday, June 7, 1976 at the Jackson County Public Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Severy, Kansas, on February 1, 1911 to Henry J. and Mattie Henderson. He had lived in the Sugar Creek area for 25 years. Mr. Henderson was a driver for Kaw Transport Company 25 years before he retired in 1971. He was married to Mildred Archer March 23, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mildred Henderson of the home, three sons, Virgil Henderson, Independence, Mo., Jimmie Lee Henderson, Topeka, Kansas and Marvin Henderson, Kent, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Tucker, Independence, Kansas, Mrs. Virginia Crocker, Neodesha, Ks; four brothers, Lewis Henderson, Topeka, Kansas, Lee Henderson, Severy, Kansas and Raymond Henderson, Eureka, Kansas and Harvey Henderson, Wichita, Kansas; one sister Mrs. Alma Holmes, Wichita, Kansas, 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 10, 1976 at the Forsberg Funeral Home in Severy, Kansas. Rev. Roy Brown was the officiating clergyman. Burial was in South Lawn Cemetery, Severy, Kansas.
