    He passed away on March 5, 1952 at the age of 78 years and 19 days in his home in Severy. His Mother, Father, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
    He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, seven children, sixteen grandchildren, seven grand grand children, two brothers, and three sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.

    Why should our tears in sorrow flow? When God recalls his own,
    And Bids them leave a world of woe for an immortal crown?
    Is not e'en death a gain to those whose life to God was given?
    Wearily to earth their eyes they close to open them in Heaven.
    Their toils are past, their work is done, and they are fully blest;
    They fought the fight, the victory won, and entered into rest.
    Then let our sorrow cease to flow, God has recalled his own;
    But let our hears, in evey woe, still say, "Thy will be done".
