Wightman, Valentine, of Providence, aged. Will dated 13 Jan 1700/1, he died 26 Jan 1700/1, proved 11 Mar 1700/1, pgs 269-271. Mentions: Wife Mary who to dispose of moveable estate amongst my & her children desiring her my said wife in all love to consider in special such of our children as stay longest with her & help her in her age . . . my 9 children. Son Valentine Whitman. My 8 daughters Mary, Elizabeth, Susanna, Deborah, Alice, Hannah, Esther, & Grace -- no surnames given for any of the daughters, but see 3 grandsons. Daughter Elizabeth given 60A land since she is weakly of body & may not be capable to provide for herself, John & Mary Inman's eldest son, James & Deborah Smith's eldest son.
