    STEPHEN HICKOCK, son of Serg. Samuel; born about 1684; bapt. 12 April 1685; died at Durham 1726; married about 1711, Ruth Gaylord, dau. of Joseph and Sarah (Stanley) Gaylord of Farmington. She married (2) David Johnson. He was bachelor proprietor 7 January 1705/6 at Waterbury. He removed to Durham with the Gaylords and his brother Joseph. At his father's death, he chose Timothy Stanley for his guardian. Administration granted 19 April 1726 to widow Ruth.
