Brief Bio

My name is Nathaniel Powell, and I was born in Palo Alto, CA where my father, Edward Powell, was attending Stanford University to obtain his M.S. in Electrical Engineering.

We then moved to Albuquerque, NM where my father worked for about ten years at Sandia National Laboratory. Then we moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado for about eight months, with my Dad commuting back and forth to Sandia until he found a job as an Engineer at Hewlett-Packard in Fort Collins, Colorado.

As of March, 2006, my parents still live in Fort Collins, but in the fall of 1999, I moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University (BYU). From 2001-2003 I served in the Brazil, Belo Horizonte East Mission. I graduated in 2006 with a B.S. in Computer Science and minors in Math and Physics.

In December of 2006, I married a very intelligent, thoughtful, and beautiful girl named Amber in the San Diego Temple. She is studying Chemistry at BYU and received a scholarship to do research in the summer of 2007.

Lately I have been helping Dr. Dallan and Solveig Quass out a little with WeRelate.org at the Foundation for On-Line Genealogy (FOLG); it has been a lot of fun to work with them and enjoy their company.
