    CAPTAIN EBENEZER HICKOCK, son of Serg. Samuel; born about 1692; died at Bethel in Danbury, Conn., 8 July 1774 in 83rd year; married (1) perhaps Rebecca Keeler, dau. of Ralph and Grace (Lindall) Keeler; married (2) at North Stratford 17 June 1747, Esther (Curtis), widow of Daniel Beach (married to Beach 3 Dec. 1724), and dau. of Benjamin and Esther (Judson) Curtiss. Esther was baptized 10 February 1706; died at Bethel, 25 August 1775, in 70th year.
    He settled in the Bethel Society in Danbury about 1725. He was in Danbury June 1722-1736-1741. In 1707 he chose his brother, William, as his guardian.
