Steve Wilemon (my father-in-law) is the grandson of Sallie Nix. I have also spoken with other relatives and they all have that her middle name was Elizabeth.

The entire Nix family is living along this road, James Russell as a servent to the Humphries, Daniel with only Audie, Louisa P, With all of the children except Grover, after Harrison died. Nannie Nix, Widdow of DAavid S. with all of her family, and Daniel with Nancy his second wife.

Letter from Gladys Gattis, 27 Dec 2002. list her name as "Sarah Ester Elizabeth NIX" . This is the first time I have seen the Sarah Ester part. The Census and also the list of birth days by Louiza (Netie) Conn, calls her Sallie, but that must be an a.k.a. I always knew of her as "Aunt Sallie Wilemon".

Lady of Many Names I knew her as Aunt Sallie Wilemon; But I must have not met her more than a half dozen times. I can remember visiting her house which was near Samules Chaple Church, walking distance I think.

Her corrrect legal name seems to have been Sarah Elizabeth, but Gladis Gaddis also gave her the Ester name. Also I have a 1920 letter from Aunt Sallie to her mother Nettie Conn, which she signed on the front from Ruth Wi, (actually looks as if she spelled it "Rauth Wi".

I think that if we look long enough we may find other names she used or was called by.
