  2. 2.0 2.1 The birth location is not specified by Pierce, and no birth record is found, but based on his description that the father lived in Harvard until after the war, one would infer that the birth place is understood to be Harvard. However, a month after Sally's birth, the father executed a deed "of Temple" (Vol. 25, p. 20) and not until 1779, still "of Temple" did he buy land in Packersfield/Nelson (Vol. 25, p. 21). Source:Belknap, Henry Wyckoff. Burnap-Burnett Genealogy, p. 146 says she was born in Packersfield, NH, but like Pierce, does not give sources. All Belknap's dates match Pierce's and he may have simply copied them, adjusting the birth location to suit his guess.
