Services Held For Mrs. Frank Klima

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Klima, 88, were held Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, at 10:30 am at St. Patrick's Church in Monona with Rev. Donald Heineman officiating.

Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Mrs. Klima died at the Community Hosp., Postville, after being ill for three weeks.

She was born Aug. 30, 1883, at Beulah in Giard Township, the daughter of Frank and Kathryn Tinker Lestina. She was educated in the Giard Township Schools.

On Sept. 12, 1899, she was married to Frank Kilma and they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 12, 1949.

She spent most of her life in the Monona area except for four years when the family lived in Prairie du Chien.

She was an active member of St. Patrick's Church, the Rosary Society and the Study Club.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Charlotte) Bluck and Evelyn Klima of Monona, Marie Klima of Milwaukee, one grandson, Robert O. Bluck of State Center, a sister, Mrs. Ben (Anna) Klima of Milwaukee and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, two brothers, Edward and Benjamin, and twin brothers who died in infancy, three sisters, Frances Papachek, Kathryn Marovets and Mary Blietz.

Pallbearers were Herbert Lenth, Milton Klima, Giles Blietz, John Ambrose, Leonald Schissel, Frank Sudol Jr., Frank Havlicek and Barney Whittle.

Music for the services was by the Adult Choir with David Klingeman as organist.

Out of town friends and relatives attending the funeral were Mr. & Mrs. Robert O. Gentz and Nancy, Dubuque; Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Lestina, Ossian; Mrs. John Kolker, Millville; Mrs. Ron Tucker, Elkader; Mrs. Ralph Welch, Waukon; and Greg Hangartner, Decorah.
