Marie I. Klima (Nelson)

Marie I. Klima (Nelson) was born April 2, 1910, in Giard township, Clayton County, to parents Frank and Rose Lestina Klima. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Monona. In 1927 she graduated from Monona high school. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls.

After college Marie moved to Milwaukee, Wis. She wored as a secretary in the Milwaukee area. She made her home in Wauwatosa, Wis.

Marie died Saturday, April 24, 1993, at West Allis Memorial Hospital, West Allis, Wis. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and Holy Angels.

Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Charlotte Bluck. Surviving is one sister, Evelyn Klima of Monona and a nephew and his wife, Robert and Grace Bluck of Preston, Minn.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 27, 1993, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Monona, Father John Moran officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Ken Amenden and Howard Klima. Pallbearers were Greg Hangartner, Rick Blietz, Milton Klima, Leo Vlazny, Donnie Voss and Frank Havlicek. Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona was in charge of services.
