According to Lillian, Franklin, Virginia is now in present-day Mineral County, West Virginia. "She came with her parents to Kentucky and Indiana and m. John Hagan, Feb. 17, 1821 in Clark Co., Ind. Besides giving her birthdate and place of birth, her stone says she died Apr. 23, 1879."

Listed in the 1860 Houston County, Texas Census as Roana Hagan, age 60, born VA. With husband, daughter Lucy who is widowed, and two other children, Ed Finch, age 15, born TX, and Nancy Finch, age 13, born TX.

Rosannah's family is said to have been the same family as Helen Keller's.

Rosanna Keller's family:

Rosanna's father, Daniel Keller, was born 6 May 1753, Hampshire County, Virginia. He died 5 Nov 1838 and buried in the Keller Cemetery, two miles northeast of Georgetown, Floyd County. Family stone. He married 27 Jan 1783 to Margaret Weller who died about 1795. Children: Barbara born 28 May 1787 and died 31 Jan 1846 married 20 May 1807 to Jacob Brookhart; Martha born 20 May 1789 died 6 Dec 1861 married 1806 Frederick Ramey; Daniel born 17 Mar 1791 and died 3 Dec 1836 married first 20 Apr 1817 Sally Risinger 1798-1822 married second 8 May 1823 Zerviah Starr. Soldier married second about 1800 to Margaret Eckstine Shipman 1762/3-1847. Children: Rosanna born by 1804 married about 1830 to John C. Hagan.
