Robert Stockton appears to have been born in about 1680. It is not know where Robert was born, however, he might have been born in Ireland or England. There is no record of Robert Stockton before he appears in Pennsylvania records. Robert was married to Isabel. It is also not known when or where Robert and Isabel were married.
From a transcription of Robert Stockton's will "I, Robert Stockton, in the township of Sadsbury, County of Lancaster, and Province of Pennsylvania ... My will is that I be decently buried in the churchyard of Pyque." Pequea Creek runs just north of the town of Gap, Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County, and the town of Gap is only about a mile away from Chester County.
