On 26 Jun 1902 at Dreghorn, after banns of the Church of Scotland, Richard Lindsay, age 26 of Largs, gardener, married Isabella Orr, age 23 of Dreghorn, domestic servant. William Lindsay, minister of Dreghorn, officiated, and witnesses were William Mackie and Mary McCubbin Orr.

In April 1911 Richard and his oldest daughter (Robina) sailed on the "Caledonia" from Glasgow to New York. He then went to Oconomowoc, WI to a job as gardener on the Stock Farm of the Pabst family. Isabella and three other children (James, Isabella, and Mary) joined him there in June 1911.

Richard Lindsay, of 736 Superior St., Milwaukee, WI was naturalized in the United States of America on 15 Jul 1919 in Circuit Court. His wife Isabella and children Robina, James, Isabella, and Mary were also naturalized with him.

1920 Census of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Richard and wife Isabella resided at 736 Superior St. Their children Robina, James, Isabella, Mary, Jean, Catherine, and Richard were living there with them.

1930 Census of Christiana Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware, Richard and Isabella lived with their children James, Jean, Catherine, Richard, and Wilson.
