Isabella Orr was born 2 Nov 1878 at 7:15 PM at 27 Craigmark, Dalmellington, Ayrshire, Scotland

1891 Scotland Census she was 12 years old and living in the Hugh and Agnes Findlay household at Moorhouses in Stevenston, Ayrshire. Her relationship to the head of household was niece. Others in the household were children of Hugh and Agnes, Jeanie, Mary, Fairlie, and Alexander.

She married Richard Lindsay 26 June 1902 at Dreghorn, Ayrshire, Scotland. In June of 1911 she and three children (James, Isabella, and Mary) sailed on the Caledonia from Glasgow to New York, to join her husband and oldest daughter (Robina) in Wisconsin.

Obituary from a loose newspaper clipping, source unknown: "The funeral of Mrs. Isabella O. Lindsay, 63 years old, of Avondale Road, near Wallingford, PA, will take place from the Smith Funeral Home, Twenty-fifth and Market Streets, Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Lafayette Cemetery, Birmingham, PA. Mrs. Lindsay died yesterday in The Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Richard Lindsay; seven children, James N., New Jersey; Mrs. Isabella Miller, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Gardner, New Jersey; Jean and Catherine Lindsay, living at home; Richard, Jr., with the Army in Texas, and G. Wilson Lindsay, a pilot with the Army Air Forces, and 17 grandchildren. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Chadd's Ford, PA. Mrs Lindsay came in this country in 1911 from Scotland."
