May 28, 1825] Fountain Co., IN, as transcribed in Book 2, p.104. Reason L. JONES. Will. In the name of the Benevolent Father of all I Reason L. JONES of Fountain County State of Indiana, being weak in body, but sound of mind and memory, do make and publish this my last Will will[sic] and Testament. Item 1st I will that all my Just debts be first paid. Item 2nd I give and bequeath to my Daughter Leah Caroline JONES all my Real Estate personal property of Every Kind Except one silver watch. Item 3rd I bequeath the above reserved Silver Watch to my Brother Joel L. JONES, 4th and lastly I constitute and appoint my Brother Joel L. JONES as my Executor with full power to sell and convey title to all my real Estate Either at public or private sale as he may think for the benefit of said Leah Caroline JONES. I also appoint said Executor Guardian for said daughter during her minority and I also request Said Guardian that he give said Leah Caroline JONES a good Education and leave her in the care of my beloved Father and Mother. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth Day of April A D 1858 Reason L. MAHAN Wm C WIKOFF Isaiah JONES State of Indiana Fountain County On the 28th day of February 1859 personally came Isaiah JONES one of the subscribing Witnesses of the foregoing instrument and being duly sworn on his oath says that he saw Reason L. JONES the testator sign seal publish and declare the foregoing instrument as his last will and testament that he was of full age to devise his property was of sound mind and memory and under no coercion or restraint what ever at the time of the Execution thereof Isaiah JONES Subscribed and sworn to before me this 28th day of Febuary [sic] 1859 In witness where of I hereunto subscribe and { seal } affix the seal of the Circuit Court of said County the day and year above written E C Wilcox clerk State of Indiana Fountain County I Elias C.
