Philip Malone was born in County Tipperary, Ireland in about 1837 to Cornelius Malone, a Farmer and Margaret Gorneen. Philip and his sister Margaret appear to have emigrated to Australia together.

  • Philip's death certificate indicates he arrived about 1859 in the colony of Victoria for 6 months before moving to Sydney, New South Wales
  • There is also a record for 21 year old Philip Malone and his sister Margaret Malone arriving on the 21st August 1856 in Sydney or Newcastle on board the Bermondsey.

Philip and Mary married on the 12th February 1866 in St Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney, NSW. They lived at 132 Paddington St, Paddington, NSW and they had nine children.

He died on the 23 rd March 1889 after two months of cardiac asthma.
