Nora Alice Johnson Hill

Mrs. Hill

Mrs. Nora Hill, wife of the late Clarence Hill, who lived at 195 Melwood Street, died Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a long illness. She was 81.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock at George A. Smith and Sons with the Rev. R.G. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Double Springs Cemetery in Gibson County.
Mrs. Hill was born Aug. 4, 1892, in Henderson County, daughter of the late Obie B. and Caroline Crowder Johnson and for the past 50 years had lived in Jackson. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a son, Nolan Hill of Memphis; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Knight, Mrs. Nina Walker and Mrs. Tracy Smith all of Jackson: 23 grandchildren: 40 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
