Some sources claim that Moses Carson, b. Oct. 1746 was a son of Patrick and Margaret Carson. That was a different Moses Carson and would have been too young to have been married by 1762.

Assertions but no proof that this is the Moses Carson who married Elizabeth Hannah which comes from the will of Andrew Hannah of Hanover (then Lancaster Ct. PA) dated 1766. Estate papers suggest they were married by 1763. In the Land Deeds of Lancaster Ct PA pg 98, Moses Carson, son in law of Andrew Hannah deceased, acknowleged settlement of estate of Andrew. His wife Elizabeth also signed. Signatures of Elizabeth Carson of Washington Ct. TN could be compared if available.

Moses Carson moved to Washington Ct TN. Deed where Moses sells land to John McMurray in 1783 refers to him living in Washington Ct. NC; deed selling land in Orange Ct. NC 1799 refers to Moses Carson of Washington Ct. TN.

Record of Moses Carson entering land 23 December 1773, deed for this land issued 1778. Moses Carson sold land to John McMurray 25 Mar 1785, lists Moses Carsons as living in Washington Ct. NC and refers to land on the headwatersof the S Eno in Orange Ct. NC. He sold land to William Rainey 1 Jan 1799, listed as of Washington Ct. TN and refers to land on the Eno and Hyco. NC

Land Grant 1787 (land in TN). Moses bought land from John Patterson in TN 30 Aug 1783.

Moses Carson of Washington Ct. TN and Andrew Carson petitioned and became administrators of the estate of Joseph Carson, Abbevillle, SC. Signature on SC document identical to those in TN.

Moses Carson m. Elizabeth is proven to be in NC in 1773.
