Obituary for Mary Elizabeth (Winans) Knauf

"Mary E. Knauf, widow of Frank Knauf, died at her home last Friday morning. She had been sick a year. Mrs. Knauf was born Oct. 30, 1857, at Ellsworth, and had lived her entire life in Ellsworth township. In early years she taught school. She was married to Frank Knauf Sept. 30th, 1880, he preceding her in death three months. Surviving are two children, Herbert, and Nettie Weingart; three grandchildren, Wayne and Eldon Weingart, and Grace Goodman, and a brother Homer Winans. Funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Arbaugh funeral home in Salem, in charge of Rev. Geo. Brown of Warren; burial in Ellsworth cemetery."
