Mrs. Maurice Donovan

Mrs. Maurice Donovan, 85, a resident of Dubuque until four years ago, died at her home in Lansing, Mich., Monday morning at 4 o'clock after a week's illness.

The remains will arrive in Dubuque Tuesday afternoon and will be taken to the Ashworth and Bennett Funeral Home, from where the funeral will be held to St. Patrick's Church, North Garryowen, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, North Garryowen.

She was born in Garryowen March 1, 1858, and lived in Dubuque until 1939 when she moved to Lansing to reside with a son. She was a former member of St. Raphael's Cathedral parish.

Survivors are five sons, Richard Donovan, Dubuque, John Donovan, Lansing, Mich., Martin Donovan, Lansing, Maurice Donovan, Bernard, Ia., and Cornelius Donovan, Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Rosa) Barrett, Dubuque, and Mrs. Louis (Jessie) Finn, Cascade, Ia.; and one brother, Patrick Shanahan, Bernard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Shanahan.
