    "Know all men by these presents that we William Asher and Henry Campbell are held and firmly bound unto our Commonwealth of Virginia in Fifty Pounds Current Money to be paid unto our Commonwealth afforesaid. To which payment well and truly be made We do bind ourselves our heirs Excs. & Adms. Jointly & severally firmly by these presents Sealed withour seals and dated this 25th day of September 1782 Whereas there is a marriage suddenly intended to be Solemnized between the above bound Willam ASher and Mary McChesney The Condition of this present obligation is such that if there be no Lawful cause to obstruct the Same then this Obligation to be void or else to remain in full force.     The names of the known ch. of Walter and Isabella McChesney are given in a deed dated 31 Mar. 1801 , which stated that Isabel McChesney, William Young and his wife, Jane (also called Jean) sold for $50 all their right as heirs in a tract of land containing 100 acres in Rockbridge Co., on the waters of Walker Creek, being a tract of land conveyed ty the executors of Benjamin Burden (Borden) to Walter McChesney, who dying intestate left the same to Samuel, his son and heir at law, with the right of dower to the said Isabella, his wife, and the said Samuel, having departed this life leaving no issue, all the remaining right and interest therein descended to the said Isabella, his mother, Poly and Jane, his sisters, who intermarried with Asher and Young, and Walter, his brother. Witnesses: Walter McChesney, Margaret McChesney, Robert Young.

    State of South Carolina, Spartanburg District - Personally came Walter McChesney, Margaret McChesney, and Robert Young, who made oath, dated 3 Apr 1801, also affidavit by Jean McChesney, wife of William Young, who relinquished her right and interest.
