Suspect but am not sure that maiden name was Arndt. Death certificate (have copy) describes Frederick Arnd and Lahn (?) as mother. Happily, her exact birthday, 20 July, 1825 was given on the dc.
It is noted in 1910 census when she is living with d. Minnie Carre, that she had 10 children and 9 were living! This is a far larger progeny than I realized.
She emigrated to US in 3 May 1883 from Bremen, on the Braunschweig lived with d. Minnie. Witness on dc was Friedrich Ruthenberg.
Getting further out on a limb -- an Arndt from exactly the same district as Johann Carl
