- Page 1 of 10. Robert N. born November 39, 1830 in dearborn Co., IN., married Maria Eva Stanley, March 11, 1857 near Victoria, Knox Co.,LL. Maria came from New York State adn she & Robert moved to Clarke County, IA in 1867 where Maria died May 2 1916, age 78, Robert died Oct 9, 1911 aat Loveland Colorado, but was buried in the family cemetery at Murray IA, by the side of his wife & three children.

LAMBERTSON, (2nd generation; John Lambertson, Sr. 1st generation) born Nov. 30, 1830, in Dearborn County, Indiana; married March 11, 1857 to MARIA EVA STANLEY near Victoria, Knox Co., IL. Maria was born October 29, 1837, in Delaware Co, New York State. They moved to Clarke Co., IA, in 1867, where Maria died May 2 1916 age 78, and was buried in the Murray, IA Cemetery by the side of three children who had preceded her Robert N. Lambertson died Oct 9, 1921 at Loveland, Colorado, and was buried in the Murray cemetery by the side of his wife & children.***The following is a brief history of Robert N. Lamlbertson written by his wife October 16, 1915....'Robert N. Lambertson was the son of John & Percilla Lambertson. At
- Page 6 of 10. The age of twenty-one, He came with his brother-in-law to Springfield, Ill. In a few months he went to Starke County to work on the farm of Jacob Emory where he contin ued for four and a half years at the wage of $12.00 per month. During thaat time, he went to IA and purchased land of the Government at $1.25 per acre. Which he still owns. On March 11, 1857, he was married to Maria Eva Stanley near Victoria, Knox Co., IL, in 1867 they went to IA and settled on the farm which he had purchased . He united with the Methodist Church in 1905...'Uncle Bob & Aunt Maria, as we called them, were friends to everyone who wished to do right; but they had not countenance for decit or untruthfullness. When they lmade an assertion, we all knew it to be the truthl Their home was always, the headquarters for love, peace and good cheer, as well as for hospitality. Uncle Robert was raised a farmer and always farmed (spelling???) in JusLrio,,i!;Iv, and while he was raised between two rows of corn, he was no 'Pumkin'. He taught farming to his sons and they all grew up to be successful farmers. He never aspired to office, I don'd think he ever held a public office unless it was school director or road supervisor, and I think he got out of that as soom as possible. Truthfullness and strict honesty was his motto and he never debiated from it. Aunt Maria was one of God's noblewoman. She loved her children, her friends and her Saviour, and she pittied her enemies, if she had any which I douby. She was for many years, and at the time of her death, a member oif the Methodist Church and aa happy Christian. She died assured of a blessed immortality, always having been a good wife and mother and making her hnome a model of love and industry.
